Preparations for Winter Trial 2025
With only a few months to go, the team is hard at work. New routes, new hotels, and new adventures await you. This edition starts at the Arabella Jagdhof near Salzburg and will finish in Brescia—a route that blends pure rally sport with unforgettable camaraderie.
Registrations for the 23rd Winter Trial
Great to see so many familiar and new names on the list already. If you haven’t registered yet: there are still places available, and registration remains open until December. BRING a FRIEND, everyone with a classic car up to 1985 is welcome!

Airports (arrival & return)
For the start at Arabella Jagdhof, the most convenient airport is Salzburg Airport. For the finish in Brescia, the nearest options are Verona or Milan.
Car Transport (rally or modern)
Would you like to have you car transported to/from the event? Please contact Erwin de Lange at info@delangeautotransport.nl to arrange rally or modern car transport.

Trailers & Parking at the Start
No trailer parking is available at the start. The circuit used last year is currently closed and cannot be used for parking or registration logistics.
Leg 0 – Registration & Equipment Check
As in previous editions, we will provide a registration window and a leg 0 as an opportunity to you’re your equipment before penalties apply.
NEW in 2026 is that leg 0 is COMPULSORY. For us as organization, this is the moment to check if all the systems work, if your rallycheck app works and whether the loggers function properly. Not driving leg 0 will result in a 5 minute time penalty for your start on Sunday morning.
Final timings and instructions will follow in the Competitor’s Pack.
Rally Licence
A rally licence will no longer be needed to participate in the Winter Trial. We have chosen to use the NHRF as the governing body instead of the KNAF for 2026, which make the rally passes redundant.
Info / Rookie Meeting
Our information afternoon and system briefing is scheduled for Saturday 20 December, 14:00–17:00. Venue details will be shared after registration. Just send us an email (timo@classicevents.nl) if you want to join. THE opportunity to meet each other again and refresh all the special Winter Trial aspects.
NEW YEAR DRINKS
The Winter Trial will be present at Interclassics Maastricht from January 15-18. We invite all of you to come and see us there for a glass of wine to toast on a happy and healthy 2026 AND to come and collect your sticker pack and rally gear on our stand in the far right corner of the WEST Hall. We are sharing this stand with our colleagues of the Tulpen Rallye.
Finish & Dress Code
The Winter Trial finish is always a celebration. Achieving to finish our event should be celebrated properly and what better location than an Italian Mansion in Brescia. The temple of Italian motorsport.
Dress code: black tie / dinner jackets (smoking).
Dietary Requirements & Allergies
Please send any dietary requirements or allergies to events@classicevents.nl, attn. Marit Oosting. Marit has assumed the role of Menno Brauckmann who has moved to Movico in the role of Location manager for the Hyundai WRC team. I am sure that Marit will be at least as hospitable as Menno.
Extra hotel booking and Licence plate
Some of you might prefer to arrive at the starthotel on the Friday 23 January before Signing on and leg 0 on Saturday 24 January. We have reserved a limited number of rooms for you at the rally rate. Booking with us would ensure you not having to change rooms for the next day.

MAKE SURE we have the license plate number for your rallycar to ensure free parking at the Start hotel. Some of you forgot to register last year and this resulted in parking fines at the start. The parking around the hotel is public parking, IF YOU DO NOT register your car with us or at the hoteldesk, parking has to be payed!

Voorbereidingen voor Winter Trial 2025
Met nog maar een paar maanden te gaan is het team volop aan de slag. Nieuwe routes, nieuwe hotels en nieuwe avonturen wachten op jullie. Deze editie start bij het Arabella Jagdhof nabij Salzburg en finisht in Brescia—een traject dat pure rallysport combineert met onvergetelijke kameraadschap.
Inschrijvingen voor de 23e Winter Trial
Geweldig om al zoveel bekende en nieuwe namen op de lijst te zien. Ben je er nog niet aan toegekomen je in te schrijven ? Er zijn nog plekken beschikbaar en de inschrijving blijft geopend tot en met december. Neem een vriend(in) mee, iedereen met een klassieker tot 1985 is welkom!

Vliegvelden (heen & terug)
Voor de start bij Arabella Jagdhof is Salzburg Airport het meest praktisch. Voor de finish in Brescia zijn Verona of Milaan de dichtstbijzijnde opties.
Autotransport (rally of modern)
Wil je graag dat je auto naar/van het evenement word vervoerd? De Lange Autotransport neemt dat dit jaar voor haar rekening. Neem dan contact op met Erwin de Lange via info@delangeautotransport.nl voor transport van rally- of moderne auto’s.

Trailers & parkeren bij de start
Er is geen trailerparking beschikbaar bij de start. Het circuit dat vorig jaar werd gebruikt is momenteel gesloten en kan helaas niet worden gebruikt voor.
Leg 0 – Registratie & apparatuur check
Zoals in eerdere edities voorzien we in een aanmeldvenster en een Leg 0 als moment om je apparatuur te testen vóórdat strafpunten gelden.
NIEUW in 2026: Leg 0 is VERPLICHT. Dit is voor ons als organisatie het moment om ervoor te zorgen dat alle apparatuur goed werkt, dat iedereen op de rallycheck app te volgens is en dat de loggers juist werken. Het niet rijden van Leg 0 resulteert in 5 minuten tijdstraf voor je start op zondagochtend.

Rallylicentie
Een rallylicentie is niet langer nodig om deel te nemen aan de Winter Trial. We hebben voor 2026 gekozen voor de NHRF als bond in plaats van de KNAF, waardoor rallypassen overbodig zijn.

Onze informatie- en systeembriefing staat gepland op zaterdag 20 december, 14:00–17:00 uur. Locatiegegevens worden na aanmelding gedeeld. Stuur ons even een mail (timo@classicevents.nl) als je wilt aansluiten. DE gelegenheid om elkaar weer eens te zien en de specifieke regels van de Winter Trial even op te frissen.
NIEUWJAARSBORREL
De Winter Trial is aanwezig op InterClassics Maastricht van 15–18 januari. We nodigen jullie allemaal uit om ons daar te bezoeken voor een glas wijn om te proosten op een gelukkig en gezond 2026 én om alvast je rallystickers en spullen op te halen bij onze stand in de rechterhoek van de WEST-hal. We delen deze stand met onze collega’s van de Tulpen Rallye.
Finish & dresscode
De finish van de Winter Trial is altijd een feestje. Het halen van de finish verdient een passende viering—en waar kan dat beter dan in een Italiaanse villa in Brescia, de tempel van de Italiaanse autosport.

Dieetwensen & allergieën
Stuur je dieetwensen of allergieën naar events@classicevents.nl, t.a.v. Marit Oosting. Marit heeft de rol overgenomen van Menno Brauckmann, die naar Movico is gegaan als Location Manager voor het Hyundai WRC-team. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat Marit minstens zo gastvrij zal zijn als Menno.
Extra hotelboeking en kentekenregistratie
Sommigen van jullie willen misschien al op vrijdag 23 januari aankomen in het starthotel, vóór het inchecken en Leg 0 op zaterdag 24 januari.
We hebben hiervoor een beperkt aantal kamers gereserveerd tegen het rallytarief. Als je via ons boekt, hoef je de volgende dag niet van kamer te wisselen. Om te boeken gebruik je bijgesloten formulier.
Zorg er in dat geval bovendien voor dat wij het kenteken van je rallyauto hebben, zodat gratis parkeren bij het starthotel gegarandeerd is.
Vorig jaar waren er deelnemers die dit vergaten te registreren, wat resulteerde in parkeerboetes bij de start.
De parkeerplaatsen rondom het hotel zijn openbare parkeerplaatsen —Indien je je auto niet registreert bij ons of bij de hotelreceptie, moet er betaald worden voor het parkeren!
We kijken ernaar uit jullie te zien op sneeuw en ijs—voor weer een onvergetelijke Winter Trial!
