Celebrating 25 Editions of pure winter rally heritage
In the winter of 2027, history will be written once more.

From 31 January to 5 February 2027, we proudly present the 25th edition of The Winter Trial, a landmark anniversary of Europe’s most iconic winter rally for classic cars. A celebration of endurance, precision, friendship, and an unbreakable passion for driving in the most demanding of conditions.
For twenty-five editions, The Winter Trial has challenged crews to master snow covered mountain passes, frozen valleys, and breathtaking alpine scenery. This jubilee edition will bring together everything that has defined the rally for a quarter of a century and elevate it even further.

A legendary route through the heart of winter
The 2027 route leads through the spectacular winter landscapes of the Czech Republic, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia combining technical regularities and unforgettable views and roads of the past editions with new territory. The rally will conclude at a new location for our event (which we will keep a secret for now), where we will celebrate this exceptional anniversary edition in true Winter Trial style.

What is the Winter Trial?
The Winter Trial is a six-day regularity rally for classic cars, held in the depths of winter. Success is not about speed, but about precision, consistency, and teamwork, maintaining exact average speeds on snow and ice while navigating challenging terrain.
Each day covers approximately 350 kilometres. Crews competing in the Trial Class will take on an even greater challenge, with two additional evening loops of around 150 kilometres each.

25 Years of Winter Trial history
Since its first edition in 2001, The Winter Trial has grown into one of the most prestigious classic winter rallies in Europe. Alpine passes, remote valleys, icy roads, and unforgettable nights. Each edition has added a new chapter to a story shared by hundreds of crews.
In 2027, we celebrate: 25 editions of adventure, competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable winter memories.

What’s new in 2027: The Nations Cup
To mark this jubilee edition, we proudly introduce a major new competition element: The Nations Cup
For the first time in Winter Trial history, teams will not only compete as individual crews, but also as nations.
How it works:
• Each national team consists of five cars
• The best performing teams will compete for national glory
• Only the top teams will have the honor of lifting the Nations Cup Trophy
Bring together the strongest five crews from your country and defend your national pride on Europe’s ultimate winter rally stage.

Who can enter?
Participation requires just a few essentials:
• A valid driving license
• A classic car
• A true sense of adventure
• And a good sense of humor

Eligible cars
All classic cars of a type produced before 31 December 1985, provided they are:
• Reliable and safe
• Equipped with an accurate trip meter
• Capable of a minimum fuel range of 300 km

Choose your class
• Club Class
Lower average speeds, fewer regularities, and no evening loops. Ideal for newcomers or less experienced crews.
• Challenge Class
The full daytime route without evening loops, perfectly balanced between competition and comfort.
• Trial Class
The ultimate challenge, including two demanding evening loops of approximately three hours each. A skilled navigator is strongly recommended.

What’s included in the entry fee?
• Six days of unforgettable rally driving
• Roadbook and map book (provided the day before the start)
• Accommodation and all meals, from welcome dinner to prize giving dinner
• Finisher’s awards and trophies for class winners
• Rally plates, number roundels, and sponsor decals
• Full support from our experienced team of marshals and mechanics

• Transport of your car to and from the event

Entry fees (unchanged)
• Deposit: €2,500 to secure your entry
• Balance before July 1, 2027: €4,750
(Total entry fee: €7,250)
• Balance after July 1, 2027: €5,000
(Total entry fee: €7,500)
